The title in itself is one big irony. Is the planet for us or are we for the planet? Every instance we come across a piece of news stating the troubles Earth is facing. Are we really working for the betterment of the world or making it worse? Of course we humans have been innovating new things to make our lives easier but are we putting in equal amount of efforts to preserve the environment?
The world was developed for our survival, but the survival of the world is a long gone thought now. As we are busy finding life on Mars, the most probable question that arises is- Do we really care about the life that we have on Earth? Do we really care to make this world a better place to live?
On the paths to make our lives convenient, it is equally important to be aware of the changes our environment goes through and to pitch in solutions to cope up with the problems we could face. Every piece of land on Earth is going through its own battle. Some are battling with water crisis while some are dealing with changes in their ecosystems, not to forget the Global Warning issue!
Taking into consideration the current situation in our ecosystem, it is necessary that we speak up and raise our voices against all those reasons causing a catastrophic effect on our environment. Not only on humanitarian grounds do we help the people affected with these unfortunate events, is high time that we contribute for the protection of our environment. If not monetarily, we could volunteer with the various environment conversation organization to bring in this new change. Let us make this world a better place to live for the generations to come.
